The most dangerous sentence is not “I hate you”.
I cannotbe wrong.
One word. That is the entire distance between thought and power. The destruction of a society does not begin with hatred — it begins the moment a person stops entertaining the possibility of being wrong.
Every thought begins with humility.
Sign the humility pledgeIf someone mocked you today instead of answering you — you are not overreacting. Something real happened.
Ridicule is not an argument. It is a shortcut: it removes you from the discussion without engaging with what you said. It works. That is why it is dangerous. And that is why it does not stop with you.
The manifesto
We defend
- The right to believe.
- The right not to believe.
- The right to doubt.
- The right to change your mind.
- The right to say “I do not know”.
We oppose
- Humiliation disguised as intelligence.
- Overconfidence dressed up as science.
- Prejudice disguised as skepticism.
- Authority disguised as truth.
- Hatred disguised as debate.
This movement does not claim to hold the truth. It builds the conditions in which the truth can still be pursued.
How it escalates
Mass violence does not begin with camps. It begins with sentences.
- 01Disagreement“I think you are wrong.”
- 02Ridicule“I am not answering you. I am laughing at you.”
- 03Contempt“There is nothing to discuss with you.”
- 04Exclusion“People like you should not have a platform.”
- 05Dehumanization“Those are not really people.”
- 06Permission for harm“Whatever happens to them, they brought on themselves.”
These stages don't always follow one another. But the later ones were never reached without the earlier ones being tolerated first — and no stage announces itself. That is the whole problem.
Tool · The distinction
Not every confident statement is knowledge.
One subject. Eight statements. Choose one and see what it actually does.
1,200 road accidents were recorded in the city last year.
- What it can be checked against
- A count. One document can refute it.
- What it does to the other person
- Nothing. It is not about people.
Four languages · one sentence
אני לא יודע.
I do not know.
أنا لا أعرف.
Я не знаю.
Three words almost nobody says in public. They are not weakness. They are the precondition for every piece of knowledge that was ever corrected.

The humility pledge
Six lines. Affirm each one separately.
This is not a mailing list signup. We fail at these too — it is a practice, not a badge. Affirm only what you intend to keep when it becomes inconvenient.
What else can be done from here.
This movement is built from the pockets of private individuals. We have no party, no religious establishment, and no donor who decides what we write.
